Our handline planer kit offers an excellent solution for Wahoo fishing. It includes a handline on a YoYo and the option to choose your desired planer size (ranging from #8-#32). The kit features a 4′ Nylon rope connected to 100′ of 300lb Jerry Brown braided line. The Nylon rope is joined to the braid using a 500lb ball bearing swivel, while the end is equipped with a 400lb coast lock snap for easy attachment.

Using this kit is incredibly simple. All you need to do is tie the rope securely to a cleat at the stern of your boat and deploy the planer. Once the planer has reached the desired depth, you can release your trolling lure to the desired distance. To attach the lure to your handline, you can use double-ended snaps or a shower curtain ring with a rubber band. In order to fight the fish, put your reel in free spool and release the line until the snaps or ring reach the planer. When a fish bites, the rubber band will snap, freeing the lure from the planer and allowing you to engage in an exciting battle with the fish.
