Our Clarkspoon fishing lures are specially designed to be used in both saltwater and freshwater environments. These lures are incredibly responsive, featuring lifelike motions that can be utilized for trolling or casting. They are widely regarded as a top choice for Spanish Mackerel, Blue Fish, Striper, Ribbonfish, Blackfin Tuna, and other game fish.

Clarkspoons are available in chrome or gold plating and come with built-in swivels adorned with red beads. Additionally, they are equipped with stainless steel saltwater hooks. Our lures are carefully hand-rigged in North Carolina, USA.

Trolling Planers - Multiple Sizes Available Clarkspoon Trolling Planers are specifically designed to help you reach subsurface depths without relying on heavy trolling sinkers. To use them, simply connect your mainline from the rod to the ring, and attach your leader to the grommet on the planer blade. Deploy the planer at a 45-degree angle and let out the desired amount of line for your desired depth. When a fish bites the lure, the planer will trigger and rise to the surface.

Sizes #1 and #2 planers are commonly used on rods and reels spooled with 20 to 50 lb. test lines. This setup allows anglers to easily adjust the distance and depth at which the planer is fished. For a #3 planer, a heavier trolling rod and 40 or 50 lb. line are required. Ensure that your reel drag is set tight enough to pull the planer without slippage. This will enable you to effectively fish your lures at subsurface depths.
